Supporting Early Childhood Development Through Music Therapy
Music Therapy for Development & Healing provides board-certified music therapy services designed to support developmental growth, regulation, communication, and caregiver connection during the early years of life.
Early childhood is a period of rapid neurological growth, emotional development, and sensory integration. During these formative years, structured therapeutic music experiences can support regulation, communication, motor development, and relational connection.
Music Therapy for Development & Healing provides board-certified music therapy services designed specifically for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children. Our approach is developmentally informed and tailored to each child’s unique needs.
What Is Early Childhood Music Therapy?
Music therapy is a clinical and evidence-informed discipline in which a board-certified music therapist (MT-BC) uses structured musical interventions to support non-musical therapeutic goals.
In early childhood settings, music therapy may be used to support:
- Emotional regulation
- Early communication skills
- Sensory processing
- Social engagement
- Motor coordination
- Caregiver-child bonding
- Pre-academic readiness skills
Sessions are designed to be engaging, predictable, and responsive to developmental needs.

Early childhood music therapy may be appropriate for:
- Children with developmental delays
- Children with speech or communication differences
